The Theme of the Story
Courage is what made Santiago go out another day to try and catch a fish. If he didn't have courage, then he would not have gone eighty-four days empty handed.
Setting
The Old Man and the Sea Mainly takes place in the Gulf Stream. in the beginning, and the end of the book, it takes place in a small Cuban village.
My Opinions on the Book
The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway was a great novella. It really shows courage and dedication. I give the book a 7 out of 10 because of all the details it had in it.
