CSDA October 2023 Newsletter

Communication

With our 41st season well underway we would like to make sure we have your correct information to communicate with you. Please take a moment to log into your parent portals and check to make sure all the information is correct (i.e. phone numbers, emails, full address and contacts). Also, go to manage students in your parent portal, click on your child’s name, and edit medical and emergency information. Please put N/A if it does not pertain to your child. Please don't leave any spots blank. Make sure to hit save when complete!

If your dancer will be absent please mark it in your parent portal under attendance. This is the best way to communicate the absence. If your dancer is absent from class for 2 consecutive weeks we will reach out to check in with you unless you put a reason when reporting the absence.

How to get your questions answered

Our policy is we respond to emails, phone calls and texts in order of importance, 24 to 48 hrs from receiving.

*Absences for all dancers should be reported in your parent portal under attendance. Please see image below to see where the attendance is located in your portal. If you would like to schedule a make up class you can write it in when reporting the absence or email asmith@centerstagestudios.net

* Tuition, Parent Portal, Online Store and Used Shoe questions can be emailed to Asmith@centerstagestudios.net

*Studio related questions or concerns and questions about dancers' progress and placement should be emailed to tiffany@centerstagestudios.net

*All Outreach/Leadership/Assisting questions should be emailed to tiffany@centerstagestudios.net -If an assistant has a last minute cancellation of their assistant class(es) please text the studio cell 774-343-9209.

Monthly Tuition

Tuition is posted on the 20th of the month prior (or next business day) and is due the first class of each month. A $15.00 late fee will be assessed to any tuition payments received after the 15th of the month. Autopay will run on the 1st of the month for tuition and on the 13th. We did not post any late fees for September Tuition. Late fees will start with October Tuition

What's better than dancing? Well, dancing with a friend of course!

We are extending our refer a friend offer! Have a friend join us by Oct. 31st, 2023 and receive $20.00 off June tuition!! One referral credit per student and friend must stay through May. To receive credit Email asmith@centerstagestudios.net who your friend is when they join.

Bring a friend to class during Halloween week! All friends' parent or guardian will need to fill out this google form before participation. (Please send google form link to the friend's parent/guardian to fill out). Friends must be the correct age for the class and all costumes need to appropriate (no weapons).

Online Store & Used Shoes

The online store is available in your parent portal to order dance shoes, tights, leotards, CSDA apparel and more. Once your order comes in we will deliver to the studio and it will be handed to your dancer at their class. Items ordered on our nimbly site will be shipped directly to you.

You can also check these dance stores to see if they have your dancer's size: Plymouth Dance Wear, 372 Court Street Plymouth or The Dancers' Place, 64 Enterprise Road, Hyannis.

CSDA's Outreach Team's Trunk or Treat

Join us Saturday, October 28th from 4pm- 5:30pm at the Plymouth Studio parking lot.

Tickets- $5 pre sale and $7 at the door (venmo the outreach team or put your cash in an envelope labeled with your child's name and trunk or treat in the desk drawer at either studio)

This event is open to the public and cost is for trick or treaters only, adults free!


CSDA Calendar Magnet Did you get your magnet?! We have been handing out magnets to all your dancers. Viewing & Illness Policy

To view your dancer's classes log into your parent portal and click the camera icon under today's schedule. This will direct you to zoom where you will need to log into your zoom account. If you do not have a zoom account you can create one for free! After logging into zoom you will be directed into the zoom to watch your dancer.

*DSP Parent Portal App zoom info* When you log into your parent portal through the app click more on the bottom right corner. Then click studio calendar. On the calendar click your dancer's class and this will bring you to zoom.

For illnesses please follow the same policy as schools. If your child is under the weather please have them stay home. Make up classes are available for dancers that would like to make up their missed class. Reach out to asmith@centerstagestudios.net for availability.

Monthly Fundraising

Community: Thank you to everyone who participated in our Go Wicked Gold for pediatric cancer fundraiser!

October Fundraiser: Looking for a place to get rid of some of your Halloween Candy? Drop your unwanted candy off at either studio from Wednesday-Friday, November 1st-3rd. Please bring candy in a plastic bag and drop in drop off box. We will be sending our candy to our first responders, veterans and troops. Show them your love and appreciation with something sweet <3

Outreach & Leadership Team News

The Leadership Team had their first meeting of the season last month. It was about classroom expectations, how to show up for success, and getting all our info for NHSDA! Thank you to the CSDA faculty for coming to train these incredible future leaders.

The Outreach Team had such a great time kicking off their ‘23-‘24 season in September at The Kindness Festival at Buzzards Bay Park! We danced, we played, we walked the park and it was a beautiful day. Great job dancers!
