Builders Club is a “student-led” service organization that participates in volunteer opportunities around our school and in the community. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader can be a member. Come to our meeting next Monday, September 24th after school in room 324 and check it out!
- Attention all Chess Players! In case you didn’t know, Spry has a phenomenal chess team. Last year’s team took first place in the Chess league and 3rd place at the Regional competition! Chess Club is holding an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 25th after school in Mrs. Geisler’s room 302. Come find out more about playing chess for fun and competitively too. You can take the late bus home. If you can’t make the meeting, see Mrs. Geisler for details.
- Would you like to develop games? How about writing computer programs? Then come check out Computer Science Club and you'll learn how to code. Computer Science Club will have their first meeting on Thursday, October 4th in room 122 from 2:35 to 3:15. No experience is necessary and beginners are welcome! Please see Mrs. Hughes if you have any questions. Come join us!
- Do you ever feel stressed and can't relax? Do you want to try something fun that benefits your brain and your body? You should come to Yoga Club! We meet every Monday in W17, Mrs. Curry's room. New members are always welcome.
- Do you love to sing, dance, or be funny? Have you always wondered what it would be like to be an actor? Come learn about Drama Club! This year’s show is “Guys & Dolls Jr.” There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, October 2nd from 3:45 to 4:45 in the auditorium. You will need a ride home. We will have a study hall for you to go to after school until the meeting starts. If you have any questions talk to Mrs. Mungo in the Main Office.
- Do you like to solve problems and puzzles? Then MathCounts is for you! Come find out what this club is about! MathCounts will have their first meeting on Tuesday, October 2nd in room 226. We will begin right after school from 2:35 to 3:15 so you will be able to take the late bus home. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Rich, Mr. Keiser, or Mrs. Hughes. Hope to see you there!
Eligibility
Eligibility Levels
Level 1 - For a student failing one class, the coach or advisor will be touching base with the students to make sure the student is working towards passing that class.
Level 2 - For a student failing two classes, the student is ineligible and must meet with their assistant principal to develop a remediation plan. Once the remediation plan is developed with the assistant principal and student, the student can continue to practice but is ineligible for games or contests until they have reached level one (one failing class), or met the requirements of the remediation plan.
Level 3 - If a student is failing more than two classes, the student must meet with their AP. The student is ineligible for all games/contests until they have reached level one (one failing class) through a remediation developed between the student and assistant principal.
