Thoughts from Principal Prim
April Newsletter
I am truly in disbelief of where we are right now. I never dreamed in a million years we would all be quarantined to our house and school would move to online or distance learning. I wake up every morning thinking I just had a really bad nightmare. I am at home with my three boys, Colton, junior in college, Jarek, junior at Reed, and Jace, sophomore at Reed. It has been "fun" feeding them, keeping them away from their friends, and keeping them busy!!
I spent all last week, the second week of Spring Break, getting our amazing staff ready for this Distance Learning that starts April 1st. The staff has worked hard making sure they are ready to help our students and you, our families. We are here for you, through Dojo, email, Zoom, and or leave a message. Our goal is to help you get through this horrible time by giving you materials to use with your children, but most importantly, supporting your basic needs of food and Social Emotional needs. So please reach out if you need us. pwalters@washoeschools.net
The hope is we will be back to school some time in April. I am not sure that will happen, but my fingers are crossed. I will update you as soon as I know when we can go back.
I am going to attach some of my favorite Love and Logic posts. You may need these more than ever now.
Diedrichsen families, we can do this! We will get through this and be better for it on the back side. Stay strong, stay positive, and make sure to take time for yourself.
Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours! PEACE
