The Lion's Share

August 1, 2023

From the Principal . . .

Lion Familes,

We had a great first week here at the pride. We were all so excited to see those returning and those who are new to us.

Thanks to everyone for patience in the afternoon as it is hot and pick up procedures are still becoming routine. When we have a heat advisory day, students in the car rider line will remain inside until their car reaches the parking lot. Make sure teachers know if you make a change to afternoon transportation so we get everyone to the correct spot.

Thursday evening from 5:00-6:00 pm our PTO and Dads' Club will have their first general meeting of the year. We welcome everyone to join us in the library and learn about ways to get involved. Light refreshments will be served.

We need some assistance in the main parking lot. Please avoid parking along the side where there is a fire lane and along the exit lane which backs up to homes. It is difficult for parents in the car rider line to make the turn and have enough room to exit. Please use a parking space to walk up to meet walkers or remain in your car in the car rider line with your AC and tunes and students will be called out once your vehicle makes it into the parking lot.

The rest of the August newsletter is packed full, so please scroll through and click on all of the links to stay up to date on all of the great things happening at Settler's Point.

Thanks,

Andrea Emerick
