What Is Poverty?
According to Wikipedia, poverty is a general scarcity, dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. Nearly have of the worlds population
(3 billion people) live in poverty.
What is Poverty?
21,000 people die every day from hunger, and the problem isn't that there's not enough food in the world. The people who die from hunger are in poverty and lack the money to buy food. Often, they also lack access to clean water.
Poverty in America
Many people believe that poverty is an issue that doesn't affect us in the U.S.A. However, 44 million Americans live in poverty.
