Next Stop Nationals!

With less than eight weeks left of the 2017-18 school year, PHS DECA plans to end this school year on a high note! We have several events planned for the remainder of the year to keep our members active in and energized about DECA, including DECA's biggest yearly event, the International Career Development Conference (DECA ICDC). Coming to You Live from Atlanta...

Congratulations to PHS DECA member Addison Dorris for be chosen to work on the DECA ICDC Social Media Live team! This is a HUGE honor as Addison was chosen from over 200 applicants. The Social Media Live team has become a staple of the international conference experience. Talented teams of of correspondents drive the conference conversation through tweets and photos, share live news on DECA Direct Online, and promote DECA's social media posts and platforms with their tweets and posts.

Addison was chosen as part of the editorial team, so her job will revolve around creating content for the DECA Direct online newsletter and website. Members on the editorial team are assigned several writing assignments before arriving in Atlanta, and members will work on writing assignments during their free time at ICDC. Writing assignments will vary from covering the exciting opening and closing session of conference, interviewing competitive event finalists and advisors, and exploring all aspects that DECA ICDC has to offer.
