Dear Pawsome Loring Families,
I am happy to share that our school filled 55 boxes with food pantry donations in our last collection. What a pawsome job! For this collection, Ms. Fischer's 4th grade class made a really cool video, posters and helped to sort the donations. It was so great to be able to have our students back involved with Food Pantry! December 17th is our next food pantry lead by Mrs. Corron's class.
I am also happy to share that two of our 5th graders, Mackenzie Heckler and Hillary Danielson have also kicked off a Toy Drive. The Toy Drive started on Tuesday and will go until Tuesday, December 7th. Take a look at a video that we shared with students explaining the toy drive.
Masks Reminder
We are also looking for donations of children-sized masks. If you are able to donate some masks, please send them to the front office. We would graciously accept disposable or cloth masks. Lately, disposable masks seem to be the preference of students.

Car Drop Off
- School doors open at 7:45 a.m. and school starts at 7:55 a.m.
- We will be closing the gate at 7:55 a.m. each morning.
- Students should be dropped off near the gym or library doors.
- If your child arrives after the gate has been shut, you will drive to the front of the school and scan the barcode to sign your child in late.
Student SERF Grants
The variety of project ideas certainly made it challenging to select just ONE project to be
funded. However, after much discussion, SERF is excited to announce it will fund a School
Garden (flowers, fruits, vegetables). There were two grant applications for school gardens
and SERF would like to recognize both the students that wrote the grants – Lola Adams and
Sam Childs. SERF looks forward to sharing with the Loring Community how this project will work and benefit all of our students year round. More to come soon!
Coffee with the Principals! - Rescheduled
Please join us for our Coffee with the Principals on Friday, December 10 from 8:00-8:30 a.m. in the lunchroom. This will be a chance to say hello in person and to talk about our Pawsome Loring School.
Please bring your coffee mug and we will have coffee!
