5 Apps to Promote Learning

Apps that are helpful, resourceful, and creative

Animation Creator HD

This apps lets students create their own animations and add their own audio to it. This app would work well for a elementary language arts class who are learning about the who, what, where, when, and why for recounts. They could create an animation about what they did on the weekend and add the recount components therough their added audio.

Journal Jar

To use this app you only have to shake it to uncover a random writing prompt. I would use this app in my classroom for the students who have difficulty overcoming writer's block or getting their ideas down on paper. I would use this app every day for five minutes and have the students write non stop about whatever topic comes up on screen. This will help manage their brainstorming and prove to them that they can get their creative ideas out of their head and on to the page.
