Who caused Mac-B to go Crazy?

Lady Macbeth is to Blame

They don't say happy wife happy life for no reason. So when the wife gives you a honeydew list to kill various people, you better do it! Countless times throughout Macbeth his significant other makes him go to the extreme. "Such i account thy love. Art thou afeared to be the same in thine own act and valor as thou art in desire? Wouldst thou have that which thou esteem'st the ornament of life, and live a coward in thine own esteem, Letting 'I dare not' wait upon 'I would,' like the poor cat i' the adage?" this quote is strait off of Lady Macbeth's tongue; it urges Macbeth to kill King Duncan (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 7). More over Lady Macbeth's reaction to the letter is instantly murder: "Glamis thou art, and Cawdor, and shalt be what thou art promised. Yet do i fear thy nature. It is too full o' the milk of human kindness to catch the nearest way. Thou wouldst be great; art not without ambition, but without the illness should attend it" (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 5). Lady Macbeth even tells Macbeth how to act: "Your face, my Thane, is as a book where men may read strange matters. To beguile the time, look like the time; bear welcome in your eye, your hand, your tongue; look like th' innocent flower, but be a serpent under't" (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 5). Needless to say that scene was strait out of the book of Genesis with Eve (Lady Macbeth) and the serpent described. From the evidence stated previously, it it obvious that Lady Macbeth is to blame.

Literary Devices In Macbeth

Symbolism: In Macbeth, blood symbolizes more than gore, it symbolizes guilt. "Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood clean from my hand? No" it is obvious that blood can be cleaned off of ones skin, however guilt cannot be as easily removed (Shakespear Act 2 Scene 2).

Irony: Within the play, King Duncan displays his trust for Macbeth, however we know that Macbeth ends up killing him. "To find the mind's construction in the face He was a gentleman on whom I built an absolute trust" this quote displays Duncan's trust for Macbeth (Shakespear Act 1 Scene 4).

Foil: Banquo is a foil to Macbeth. "That, trusted home, might yet enkindle you unto the crown, besides the Thane of Cawdor. But 'tis strange! and oftentimes to win us to our harm, the instruments of darkness tell us truths, win us with honest trifles, to betray's in deepest consequence" in this quote Banquo tells Macbeth that the way he is handling what the witches said can lead to evil (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 3).

Jack White-Love Interruption WITH LYRICS!

Song Connection

"I want love to, roll me over slowly

Stick a knife inside me, and twist it all around.

I want love to, grab my fingers gently
Slam them in a doorway, put my face into the ground.

I want love to, murder my own mother and
Take her off to somewhere like hell or up above.

I want love to change my friends to enemies,
Change my friends to enemies and show me how it's all my fault" -Love Interruption by Jack White. These lyrics perfectly describe Macbeth's troubles with love. Focus on the line, "I want love to change my friends to enemies,

Change my friends to enemies and show me how it's all my fault," Macbeth either killed his friends or made them his enemy similar to the songs lyrics.

Lady Macbeth Character Analisis

Lady Macbeth is very judgmental, for example, when she thinks that Macbeth is "to full o' the milk of human kindness" (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 5). Also Lady Macbeth may as well be a witch herself, causing Macbeth to go crazy. However at the end of the play, she is mostly forgotten as Macbeth quotes, "She should have died hereafter; There would have been a time for such a word" (Shakespeare Act 5 Scene 5).
