Afterschool Program - December 14, 2015
CPE II afterschool, Taller Latino Just the facts
Our CPE II afterschool, Taller Latino, will run from Wednesday, September 16, 2015 through Thursday June 23, 2016, and is open to all CPE II students. The program will run from 2:40 PM to 5:40PM on all full days of school. It will also operate on early dismissal days except for Family Conference Days. (Mid-year conferences are on February 4th. There will be no afterschool on this date.
Parents may choose a full week option for $65 for a full week or a 1, 2 or 3 days option at $18 a day. (Four days a week is considered full time.) Costs for the year will be calculated based on number of days in the school year, taking into account school holidays, and broken into 10 payments, payable on the 1st day of the month. Payment envelopes will be sent home so that payments get to the right person.
We are also offering a shorter program, 2:40 to 4:00, based on parent request, for $35 a week.
Single Day Drop in is $20 a day until 5:30 or $10 a day until 4PM. Email Yhane@cpe2.org to be added to the day’s list. Contact Naomi Nsmith3@schools.nyc.gov to be added to the full time or part time afterschool program.
Twice a week (Monday/Wednesday) students will have Spanish through art and twice a week (Tuesday/Thursday) they will have Spanish through music. Fridays we will have Spanish through soccer (futbol). We will have outdoor and indoor play and may offer other activities as well. Older students will have time for Homework daily. Students will be given a small snack each day.
The early dismissal is at 4PM from the school cafeteria on the first floor. There is a late fee after 4PM. The regular dismissal is at 5:30 from the school cafeteria on the 1st floor. Staff will remain in the cafeteria until students are picked up. There is a late fee after 5:45pm. The late fee is $5 for each 15 minutes (or part of 15 minutes.)
Payments will be based on ten months attendance, deducting holidays and early dismissal days. ALL CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO CPE 2 and write CPE 2 ASP & Child’s Name in the memo section.
Checks can be mailed to Naomi Smith, 66 West 94 Street, 19F NYC 10025 or can be brought to CPE 2. Please do not mail them to school or Taller Latino.
