Elmdale Early Years School
April Newsletter 2017
Well we finished March off with lots of fun and excitement. The extravaganza week was a big success. Starting off with our Crazy Hair Day, we were able to see some very unique hair styles. Everything from little birds' nests to elastic bands in hair; it was a great start to the week.
The Pajama Day and Pancake breakfast was a wonderful time for our students and staff to eat together. I want to thank Hank Klassen and his crew for making the 595 pancakes. I also want to thank our local Sobeys store for donating all the pancake mix and juice boxes.
As usual, Superhero day was a blast. We had staff and students rocking some incredible costumes. Way to go!
Okay, the highlight of the week had to be the surprise assembly and having Corny Rempel from Mix96 come and help me surprise all our students with a green shirt. I want to thank our Parent Council for supporting this initiative. Not only was it great to provide all our current students with a green slip t-shirt but that for every new student that arrives at Elmdale, they too will join our team and receive a green slip t-shirt. If your child eventually grows out of their shirt, you can purchase a green slip shirt for $5 during specific purchase times throughout the school year.
Have a wonderful spring break!
