- his parents were Jacques de Secondat, a solder and Marie Francoise de Pesnel
- he attended collage and studied law in Bordeaux,Paris, and England
His Life and what he did
- he wrote a book that would later be known as "The Spirit Of The Law"
- he had idea's about separation and balance of power that came from the English government
- his book made a serious impact on political theory in the eighteenth century
- he made an idea that the main function of law is produce justice
- he felt that woman have the ability to govern

The Government
The government did not agree with his idea's at the time. They did not like how he was going against the rule of the government and how the power was separated. Despite that the government was against him he still spread his idea's despite the consequences of his actions.
His End
- he died on February 10, 1755
- his ideas influenced the people and after, the government
- he later became known as an important French thinker during the first half of the eighteenth century

Even though he shared his idea's and he did good for the government there is always something bad about the person, here are some things I found out about him:
- he felt that not all people were equal
-he approved of slavery
-he also thought woman were weaker then men
-also that woman had to obey the commands of there husband
