What is Digital Cititzenship?
Digital Citizenship is the rules of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use. Digital Citizenship includes copyright, fair use, piracy, plagiarism, and your digital footprint.
Copyright
The exclusive legal right, given to an originator to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material, and to authorize others to do the same.
Fair Use
Fair use is a limitation and exception to the exclusive right granted by copyright law to the author of a creative work.
Piracy
The unauthorized use or reproduction of another's work.
Plagiarism
The copying, “lifting,” or making slight changes to some or all of someone else’s work and saying you wrote it.
Digital Footprint
All of the information online about a person posted by themselves or others.
