The Percentage of population during Poverty

from 1961 to 2003 to 2012 the percentage of population has gone up but that is normal, but ever since Haiti went through the earthquake it has made a whole bunch of people scared for their lives and their childrens lives and there is a way to help stop poverty in this country.

Why is poverty in Haiti ruining peoples lives, what can people do to fix it?

In Haiti, 59 percent of people live in poverty and close to 25 percent in extreme poverty. Three-quarters of Haitians live on less than US$2 per day and half of the population earns less than US$1 per day.

Haiti is highly vulnerable to even moderate climatic shocks.

Haiti has been repeatedly affected by a series of severe natural disasters, the worst of which was the devastating earthquake on the 12th of January 2010.

Corruption is common in all governments, especially prominent in highly authoritarian regimes, and practiced beyond measure in Haiti. The elite have used their positions in government ever since 1804 to gather the wealth and power of Haiti for themselves.

Malnutrition


From very small malnutrition, and almost half of women aged 15 to 49 and 65 percent of children under five years old are affected by this and i think every should stop it or make an effort to prevent malnutrition as much as trying to get rid of poverty.
