Hello, from Mrs. B!
Classroom News
Happy Holidays!!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Break and was able to spend some quality time with family and loved ones. This is by far my favorite time of year. I love all the quality time we carve out to spend with the ones we love. If you are planning to leave early to spend time with family or friends just let me know so we can make sure we get all the important grades in before you leave. Family is the most important and we can work around the rest.
What's happening in the classroom...
Today I sent home the students Social Studies Chapter 3 Test. Any student who received less than a 70% will retake the test next Thurs. for a max possible score of 70%. Until then review chapter 3 with your child. There is a Kahoot on Edmodo to help you review.
For the next 2 1/2 weeks we are wrapping things up for the semester.
*Finish up Walk Two Moons and take a test over the book the last week.
*Finish up our first DBQ Jamestown: Why did so many colonist die?
*Finish up Genius Hour Projects and Present to during the last Technology Day
*Learn the 13 Original Colonies
* Get through lessons 1 and 2 in Chapter 4 before we leave on break!
Many of these are in class projects so don't expect much homework. But, they will need to learn the 13 colonies and make sure they read 30 minutes each night.
