Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:

I am pleased to share Lounsberry Hollow has gotten off to a terrific start in the opening weeks of the new school year! Our school is bustling with multiple and varied instructional lessons in our classrooms. Students are working hard to try to get re-acclimated to full, in-person instruction as they knew it, prior to the challenges the virus brought us with the pandemic in former months.

Please consider taking a few minutes of your time to review the below attendance chart. As we are still very early in the 2021-22 school year, please consider talking with children specifically about how important it is that they are in attendance of school on all school days whenever possible.

The chart that follows was taken from the source, “Every Day Counts”. This chart sums up very well how much teaching and learning time is lost when your child misses 10 minutes to 60 minutes of school a day. The chart also shows the cumulative class time lost when a student is missing one day every two weeks, one day a week, or two days a week from school.

Please partner with Lounsberry Hollow faculty, staff, and me, as we seek to improve our overall attendance by students at school this year.

Have a rewarding month of October!

Sincerely,

Dennis J. Mudrick

Principal
