A Message from Mrs. Brown

Spartan Nation,

Despite the challenges of the ongoing pandemic, I hope you were able to enjoy a bit of peace during this season. We are very glad to welcome our scholars back and will continue to educate them in a safe and productive manner. While the COVID spread has increased, the district has remained vigilant in our procedures and mitigating measures. We will continue to partner with you to ensure EVERYONE'S safety. Please read on for all the information you need for a successful return.

Health-Related Updates from Nurse Brown

Our District Health Services Department remains engaged with our health governing authority to ensure we are providing the safest environment for our staff and scholars. In order to do that we need your help. EVERY scholar MUST have a mask to board the school bus and/or enter any school building or district facility. In order to halt the spread, we need all of our scholars to MASK UP!!! Below you will find updated guidance from the Ohio Board of Health as well as the District:

  • If your child is sick, please keep them home
  • Students will be sent home if they exhibit any symptoms associated with COVID
  • The school nurse must be contacted if a child is exposed to COVID

COVID Vaccine Information

Who can get vaccinated?

  • Anyone age 5 years and up can get vaccinated for COVID-19

  • Anyone age 12 and up can now get the COVID-19 booster as well

How much does it cost?

  • FREE! To anyone, regardless of insurance status.

Where can I get it?


    • This website lets you filter locations based on distance from your zip code, type of vaccine, and age of the person getting it. Then it will locate which pharmacy has it in stock and lead you to schedule your appointment.

  • Your primary care physician or your child’s pediatrician

  • Local pharmacies (Drugmart, Giant Eagle, RiteAid, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, etc.)

    • Check their websites for availability and appointment scheduling

Things we need to do to keep each other safe!

  • Mask up!

    • Make sure your student has an appropriate cloth or surgical mask to wear to school.

  • Distance!

    • Encourage keeping distance from people when possible so that we are not sharing germs.

  • Stay home when sick!

    • Even if your student hasn’t been tested or you don’t think it is COVID, no germs of any kind should be shared, especially now. What might be mild for one student or staff, could be severe and scary for another student or staff member.

    • If waiting for a test result because of symptoms, stay home.

    • Any of the following are concerning:

      • Sore throat, cough, fever, congestion, vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, headaches.

Middle School Update

Due to our increased enrollment, we had added another middle school class to our schedule. This will allow for class sizes to be smaller which will provide more personalized learning experiences. The additional class scholars will engage in is Entrepreneurship. Scholars will be given updated schedules and have a day to understand and practice the revision on Monday morning. Take a look at the schedule below and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

As we enter 2nd Semester, please be sure to check your child's schedule as some courses may have changed.

Google Classroom

As the season continues on and we learn to live with COVID, please be mindful that there may be times that we close and offer remote/asynchronous learning days. In order to ensure that your child is successful, please be sure to your child's Google Classroom access. If you have any questions, contact your child's teacher directly.
