Entry Rules and Evaluation Methods
- Posters need to measure between 18 and 24 inches high and 24 and 30 inches wide.
- Any weight of paper is permitted.
- Entry can be submitted electronically or in a jpeg or gif format. Please send electronic entries to Kelly Alford at kalford87@gmail.com.
- The best way to send the poster is flat, between taped sheets of cardboard. Do not send posters rolled in a tube.
- Be sure posters are not wrapped so securely that opening becomes a challenge. Do not use duct tape or large amounts of tape.
- Posters must be the original design and creation of the entrant(s).
- Computer graphics may not be used.
- Subject matter is the choice of the participant(s) or their classmates.
- In submitting a poster, students agree that the poster may be displayed at the 2018 Festival (Good Times in Goodrich), featured in its publications, and included on its website and any other Social Media that we contribute too.
- Only first, second, third-place, and honorable mention winners will be notified personally. Goodtimes in Goodrich website will announce winners at the Festival.
- Students may work individually or in teams. There is no restriction on the size of the team; it may be as large as the entire class.
- Write the name, contact number, and grade on the back of your poster
- Your poster needs to be hand delivered by June 1st to the Oaktree office. There is no entry fee. Multiple entries may be submitted together but must have separate registration forms.
Evaluation
The poster must contain:
- Date of the Festival: Saturday August 4th, 2018
- Time: 10a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Place: Goodrich Commons
All decisions are final. Entries will be judged on the following:
- Overall impact of the display for eye-catching appeal, visual attractiveness, and its ability to draw attention to the Festival.
- Clarity of the message's relationship to the community.
- Entry should include: Family Event, Music/Food/Vendors/Crafts/Car & Motorcycle Show/Duck race/Parade/kid zone/movie in the park, etc...
Prizes: $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place, & $25 for 3rd place
