"Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-day book. Write a good one!"--Brad Paisley, singer and songwriter
Our Path Note Topic
This is the first Path Note of the 2022/23 school year. As Brad Paisley suggested, it is a new book of blank pages, and the first day of school is the first blank page. Let's all write a good one.
Everyone of our kids depend on WASD. Each one of us has an important role to fill, and that role adds to the whole of the child's experiences.
Begin each day by thinking how you can have a positive impact on each student. Will they go home with a new skill, more mature, a great experience, become someone who wants to be a life-long learner, and/or know you care about them as an individual?
No matter which of the above, no matter what job we fulfill, and no matter who the child, we can have a significantly positive impact on the students in our charge and those we just meet along the way.
Have a wonderful school year. There will be ups and downs. But in the end, it is about the children of the community. If we can make a positive difference, that child will value who we are as an organization and you as an individual.

Can you answer this?
Piece of the Puzzle
This Week's Piece of the Puzzle is given to those that go above and beyond their regular duties to make a difference in our schools. That individual can be nominated by their peers/staff, administration, and/or school board members. The weekly nominee receives a Piece of the Puzzle pin that can be worn with honor and diginity for adding to the quality that WASD staff has and continues to develop. It is a way to say "thank you"!
Moving First Choice Ahead--Share with Tod
This is a recognition of those that share lessons and activities being done in or out of the classroom that demonstrate the use of newly promoted WASD professionally developed strategies and other activities that support First Choice. Those activities can be in any Pillar--Academic, Whole Child, Career and/or Innovation.
If you have something to share. Email it to Tod!
Challenge Answer
For Our Staff
Our WellSpan WASD Clinic
Unfortunately, due to the staffing challenges during the COVD-19 pandemic, WASD and WellSpan decided to close the clinic. Nevertheless, WASD will continue to work with WellSpan and others to provide opportunities for vaccinations and the flu shot for our WASD employees. WASD will continue to explore better ways to improve health care services for WASD staff.
