What we will be learning in October
Oct. 6th: Short u; carve
Oct. 13th: Long a/silent e; consider
Oct 20th: Long i/silent e; core
Oct. 27th: Long o/silent e; damp
In Math, students will be working on representing and comparing numbers up to 1200. In addition, they will begin working on using the attributes to analyze two and three dimensional figures. In Science, students will be studying different kinds of energy (like light, heat, and sound energy). Students will also begin a unit on force and motion. Students will be working on Government and Community services and geography in Social Studies.

November 3rd - 50s day. This is second grade special persons day. We will be dressed up and ready to have a sock hop! Parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, or other special members of your family are welcome to attend.
November 7th - Boosterthon

November 26-28 - Thanksgiving Break
