News and Updates From FSMA

Happy Spring!

While we have only been in school for 7 months, we can now say we have experienced all four seasons together... we started in summer and today marks the first day of spring. While moving forward is exciting, there is also something fun in thinking about how far we have come. Do you remember the first day, our vocabulary parade, the winter Olympics, or is there a certain event that holds a special place in your heart? We hope that your heart is full of positive memories as you think back on each season at FSMA. But, the year isn't over yet and there are lots more memories to be made!

Upcoming Activities:

3/21 (Saturday)- Rock Your Socks Day - FSMA students in grades 2 - 6 were given socks to wear for this event


3/31 (Tuesday) at 9:00 a.m. - Are you interested in learning more about the State assessments our 3rd - 6th graders will be taking? Join Liz and Courtney for "Coffee and Conversation" to find out more about the FSMA approach to formal assessment


4/1 and 4/2 (Wednesday and Thursday) - Parent Teacher Conferences - ALL children will have a scheduled conference time (if you can't make it, please let your child's teacher know and they will reschedule)


4/3 (Friday) - Spring Break starts


Don't Forget about the Art Show... ALL FSMA students will have a piece of art on display at the Wilmington Library starting on April 3rd for the entire month (please note that some areas will not be accessible the week of 4/17 - 4/23


Also, FSMA is adding community members to our Citizen Budget Oversight Committee. If you know someone with a financial background who would be interested, please ask them to send a resume to fsma.charter@gmail.com
