Lost and Found
Is your child missing a coat or a sweatshirt? The Lost and Found is very full! Please check for any items you may be missing. Also I have noticed some very full lockers -- you may want to peek inside for those long lost sweatshirts, missing gloves, etc.

Don't forget your Coins for Creativity, earning money for A Day in the Arts on April 17th. You can also donate online for ADITA.
Thank you to all of you who joined us at the last PTA meeting. Please feel free to review any of the notes discussed on our Hanawalt Community website.
This Friday, February 28th, we will hold our Annual Movie Night and Scholastic Book Fair! This is a fun school event where kids can come in their pajamas and watch a movie in the gym. Feel free to bring blankets, sleeping bags or chairs. Parents need to be present with their children, this is NOT a drop off event. There will be popcorn and candy sold, as well as spirit wear! We will also have the Scholastic Book Fair in the media center. Please sign up to volunteer at the BOOK FAIR!
Our Parents' Night Out is taking place on April 3rd at 6pm at the Cubs Club! Tickets are $50 for a pair or $30 for an individual. Individuals can purchase 2 and the extra ticket can go to a Hawk staff member! We need this fundraiser to continue to support our general funds and all of the work we put towards supporting both our students and teachers throughout the year! Hope to see you there! Please sign up if you have an item or experience you'd like to donate for our SILENT AUCTION.
Ms. Manning is looking for volunteers for the HANAWALT OLYMPICS on May 26th. This is a fun day for the kids to build community and exercise!
PLEASE NOTE: We have changed our meeting with Des Moines Public School's Board Members. This will be rescheduled for Fall 2020!

Many of our teachers use their own money to buy much needed resources for their classrooms. Let's help them out! Most of the items on this list are to supplement the District's new language arts curriculum. Visit the following wish list and make a teacher's day. Don't forget to use your Amazon smile account! Interested in getting more involved?
Good with numbers? The Hanawalt Executive Committee needs a successor for our own, McB McManus. This person will learn from McB in 2020 and take on the role of Treasurer in 2021! We also need a Co-Vice President for next year! If any of this sounds like something you'd be interested in email us at HanawaltElementaryPTA@gmail.com
