FAMILY-LED CLUBS
Student/Parent-driven clubs are a fun part of BFPP. Past clubs have included math club, Pokemon club, chess club, kindness club, and several others!
Interested in starting a club? Spend some time thinking about the Topic, Purpose, and Format of your club. Then contact your LPP with your idea!
Here is a current list of family-led clubs. Several are full, but some have room for new members. If you are interested in a club that doesn't have contact info listed below, email Heidi Zollner to get connected!
ANIMAL CROSSING CLUB
1/17 Update: This club is currently full! Thanks for all your quick responses.
Heidi and Colbie Buck invite you to join a Zoom Animal Crossing Club!
Head to your airport and fly over to connect with other BFPP kids playing Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch! We'll visit each other through a Dodo Code and socialize while checking out each other's islands!
Families will need:
- Nintendo Switch console
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons game
- Nintendo Switch Online subscription to be able to visit other islands
Melissa, Heidi and Colbie's mom, will be on hand to help ensure that island visitors are kind and respectful, but otherwise the kids will just get a fun hour of play with their friends! Each week, we'll plan ahead to visit the islands of 2 friends.
Never used a Dodo code? We'll walk you through it! You do need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to travel to each other's islands.
Hope to see you there!
Possible days/times: Tuesday or Thursday afternoon
Max # of spots in the club: 8

Minecraft Club
Got a Minecraft player in your family?
BFPP student Enzo and his mom Laura are looking to start a Minecraft club! All ages are welcome - you'll need to know how to play Java edition Minecraft in order to join the club server (sorry Bedrock players!).
Tentative Club Meetings: Sundays from 2-4pm on Zoom
MYTHICLUB FOR 4TH-8TH GRADERS
Have you ever wondered what tales were told hundreds of years ago? Look no further! Throughout the year, we will be researching and telling each other the fairytales of long ago, including the folklore of Japan, India, Greece, China, the Vikings, Britain, and more! This club, for 4th-8th graders, will meet bi-weekly, on zoom for one hour. The first meeting is October 14th. We will then meet every second and fourth Thursday of the month.
Each week, a new culture’s tales will be read aloud with images shown, discussions held, and (optional) show and tell featuring drawings, books, anything relating to mythology. The maximum capacity will be 10 kids to start. RSVP if interested and you will receive a club folder with various fun mythic materials to be used at each meeting. Contact MythiClub@Yahoo.com
