Outstanding Students!
Recognizing achievement at the Virtual Academy
From the Principal~
During these unprecedented times, both teachers and students are being called upon to step outside of their comfort zones. We have learned that traditional schools are really teacher-dependant and that as we move forward with remote learning, students are being asked to become much more self motivated. This short publication is to put a spotlight on students who have risen to the challenge by demonstrating self-direction and motivation. We will work hard to highlight new students frequently. Please take a few minutes to join me in celebrating the hard work of these students.
Sincerely,

Caitlin continues to be consistently conscientious about her school work. If she has a question, she asks, and, as the saying goes, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease." Caitlin has become a proficient reader--over the course of the last school year especially--and will have read almost 3,000 pages of grade-level books from September through the end of May! Half of the books she read were fictional accounts. Caitlin is curious and open to learning about new topics. Great job, Caitlin!
