Mrs. Lisa King's 2nd Grade

December 4, 2015

Gingerbread Town (a fictional community, much like Fishers) has been hit by a major icing storm and the entire town was destroyed. Using what students know about communities and economics they are being asked to rebuild the community. Students will work in small groups to recreate a business out of a shoe box, that would benefit the Gingertown community. Students will be challenged to work within a set budget to get the business up and running, all while learning about opportunity cost, scarcity, and trading! This will be a project that we continue to work on over the next few weeks!
