Room E222 News
Week of September 12th
Announcements!!!!
- Parent Letter: I sent home a parent letter with your child's suggested Lexile range based on their results from the STAR reading assessment they took last week. Please use this to help your child find books for his or her 30 minutes of nightly reading. Keep in mind that students reading levels tend to drop some over the summer. This is normal and there is nothing to be concerned about. Students will be tested frequently to assess their progress throughout the year. Please sign the letter and send back with your child Monday.
- Wednesday Communication Envelopes: Each week your child will bring home a white envelope with important information from me and/or the school. Anything that requires a signature can be filled out and sent back to me inside of the envelopes. It is important that you receive the information going home, and to ensure everyone is informed please date and initial the outside of the envelope each week.
- Back to School Night Papers: There were three papers that needed to be filled out that were given to you at back to school night or sent home with your child if you were unable to attend. If you still have them, please send them back in ASAP! I will be sending a copy of missing paperwork home again this week.
- Lunch Box Bin Request: In efforts to keep each class's lunch boxes together, a simple way of doing this is by having a designated lunch box bin for each class where students know exactly where to put their lunch box before they go play. We are asking for a small donation for a lunch box bin specifically for our class! All of the bins will be the same, but with our class name posted on it. If you would like to donate to allow our class to have one you can order online, send in a home depot gift card with the amount, or go to home depot and purchase the bin. Click here for the link to access the information on the bin. If you are able to donate please let me know by email so I can send out an announcement that the request has been fulfilled. Thank you in advance!!!
- JOIN REMIND IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!: Make sure to join my REMIND group for an easy way to get class announcements and receive the link to my newsletter each week right on your smartphone! Click here for instructions
