T.A.B Classroom (Teaching Artistic Behavior)
In our middle school art rooms, learners are working in a choice based environment. Studios Habits provide the structure to allow students the ability to work in a safe and productive manner.
Independence
Unique Studios foster a love of art through learner autonomy and independence. Each room is well appointed and organized to allow students freedom of movement and choice throughout the room.
Variety
Students will be introduced to a wide variety of materials as they navigate their four years of art. Each year will provide traditional materials (ie. Drawing and Painting) as well as non traditional ways of creating a sculpture or print.
Observation
Each room provides a variety wide variety of visual resources to help the student develop new and original ideas.
Collaboration
Learners will often engage in collaborative activities. These opportunities allow each learner to be part of a project that, to be successful, requires the work of many.
Pride
Student work can be found in a variety of locations within the school building. This is a fantastic way to foster pride in the students willingness to make and create art,.
