Group reduced to cannibalism to survive
Just this morning a group of reportedly 90 immigrants were traveling west to california from llinois. They started their travel on April 15 , 1846. They encountered rough terrain and numerous delays, and they eventually became trapped by heavy snowfall high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. They were reduced to cannibalism and only half of the group survived. The Donner Party consisted of the Reed and Donner families with their employees.
