School Board Meeting
The board and community heard from Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and instruction Todd White on the Texas Academic Performance Report. A representative from Brown Graham and Co. presented the audit report for 2018-2019. CFO Doug Kile presented the district's annual investment report. The board then adjourned into Executive Session do discuss personnel issues and for consultation with the district's attorney.
After just over four hours, the board returned and voted on a separation agreement with Superintendent Dr. Tim Little. Board President Mony Kinnard explained that the board felt it was in the best interest of the district to allow Dr. Little to pursue other employment opportunities while the board seeks a new superintendent. The motion passed 6-1 with Richard Beyea casting the lone vote against the separation. Dr. Little will remain in the position until June 30.
In other action at the meeting, the board approved a number of policy changes as recommended by the Texas Association of School Boards and authorized Dr. Little to advertise for an Athletic Director/Head Football Coach.
The next school board meeting is set for Tuesday, February 25 at 6:00 p.m.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Week, Mr. Whitecotton!
Mr. Whitecotton works countless hours helping the students and staff meeting their needs. Mr. Whitecotton is always putting the kids first and staff. I love how he loves on the kiddos and makes them always feel welcome no matter what the circumstances are. He always makes time to talk to the staff with whatever as well! Love his enthusiasm he has every day with the kids no matter what! He is always out in the freezing cold to burning hot making sure the kids get into the school safely.
