Friday Update!

Buena Vista Montessori

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL! The Buena Vista Fall Carnival is TONIGHT, October 18th, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Buena Vista Fall Carnival is sponsored by our amazing PTA. This is a family event (grandparents, friends--all are welcome!) you will not want to miss! There will be something for everyone, including activities, games, face painting, a silent auction, and much more! There will also be a food truck available from The Bench, a new downtown restaurant owned by the same people who started Odyssey Gastropub. Expect to see a selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads as well as some creative offerings. For dessert we will have the Scoop Bus here from Josh and John's Naturally Homemade Ice Cream, a Colorado Springs favorite! PTA will receive a percentage of the profits from all sales!

Halloween costumes are encouraged (but please no scary costumes!)!

You can order through the end of the day at Online ordering is super easy! After arriving at the website, choose “Shop a Gear Drive,” select Colorado from the drop down menu, type in Buena Vista PTA under “Start Typing Your Group Name,” and then choose your spirit shirts! When checking out, put your student’s name and teacher in the provided spaces but leave the shipping information as Buena Vista PTA; these group orders will ship to the school free! Do be sure to enter your own information under payment. Buena Vista PTA will receive back 10 percent of every purchase! As of this writing, 69 pieces have been purchased by Buena Vista families, friends, and staff. Excellent job supporting Buena Vista!!

The handsome, stately tiger was designed especially for our school by one of our talented parents, Mr. Beachler, who is also the husband of Ms. Marni, our beloved LTE! Shirt choices were chosen by our wonderful PTA!

A Message From Ms. Carrie!

Upper El students worked together to create an instructional video for younger students on how to play successfully at recess. Watch it here:

Lost & Found

We have many items--a lot of hoodies and light jackets!--seeking their rightful homes! Lost and found is located in the main hallway near the drinking fountain and inside gym doors. Please come and check to see if your child's items might be among the lost! All unclaimed items will be donated to charity after parent/guardian teacher conferences!
