Lemm Happenings
September 2021
Quick Message from Mrs. Rodgers!
Hello Lemm Families! We are off to a great year. I appreciate your trust in Lemm to provide a safe learning environment for your child(ren). I have enjoyed seeing the amazing relationship building and learning going on in the building. Thank you for your patience during the first week of school as students and staff worked through arrival and dismissal procedures. We are continuing to make improvements and have decreased our carpool dismissal time. Please continue to work with your child(ren) on learning their carpool numbers. We will continue to send reminds as we get information on buses running late or double routes. Please be patient as we are sending information out to our Lemm families as quickly as we receive it. Thank you again for your partnership in your child(ren)'s education!
Thank you,
Carissa Rodgers, Interim Principal

Message from the Library
Your student will come home with a library book soon. Please discuss how to take care of the book and keep it safe. We had a huge problem with water bottles last year. Water bottles should be carried in hands or stored in the outside pocket a backpack. Families will be held responsible for losses or damages to library books. Please take time to read and/or discuss the book with your child.
Remind your child to record
his or her daily reading time in
Beanstack. You can enter
through the Klein Dashboard
or you can put the app on your phone.

Arrival &Dismissal/Transportation Information
One of our main goals is to get your students back to you at the end of the day safely.
The end of the day can get hectic, so we ask for your help, cooperation and understanding.
If your child will be going home a different way, please let the FRONT OFFICE and your child's TEACHER know right away. Telling the teacher is wonderful, but sometimes they can't check voicemail or email until it is after school-so your best option is always the main front office. (832-484-6300)
We ask that you have the call made by 2:15 pm. If messages are not cleared or given in time, please know the teachers are trained to send kids home their regular way unless cleared by administration. We CANNOT take a child's word for it when it comes to leaving school safely.
Morning Drop off: Lemm doors open at 7:40am. Do not drop off your child prior to this time, as they will be unsupervised. If you are past the tardy bell at 8:05am you will need to park and walk in to sign in your child at the front office.
Car riders All car riders will be picked up in the front parking lot. Two lines will form in front of the school (at dismissal). It is imperative that you follow all Lemm employee instructions for efficiency and safety purposes. Once your child has loaded please remove your car rider tag, this helps us quickly determine who has loaded. If your child is not loaded, you may be asked to pull into a parking space so we may keep the line moving. Please pull all the way up and minimize gaps between cars.
Bus riders and daycares are dismissed in the cafeteria and loaded with teacher supervision. Please note that once children are on the bus, they must follow the bus route to the designated drop-off assigned by Klein Transportation. We will continue to try and send reminds when buses are running late. Please call Klein Transportation number at 832-249-4566 if you have any further questions.

COVID-19 Dashboard
Klein ISD will publish daily updates to our COVID-19 dashboard beginning today, August 20, 2021, on the Klein ISD website under our 2021-2022 Back to School Health & Safety Plan.
This dashboard will be updated by 6 p.m. each school day, indicating all positive COVID-19 cases reported to Klein ISD. The following information will be available daily for all campuses:
Total number of COVID-19 positive students
Total number of COVID-19 positive staff
Number of new cases each day
Percentage of total cases on each campus
In addition to linking the Klein ISD COVID-19 Dashboard to our district website, we are also providing a link to sign up for email notifications when the Dashboard is updated. If you are interested in receiving the email notification, please click the signup link located at the top of the Klein ISD COVID-19 Dashboard.
As communicated previously, if a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19, the individual should contact the campus nurse or clinic staff to inform them of this information. Klein ISD Health Services will then report this information to the local and state health authorities who will work with Klein ISD regarding any appropriate measures. We will update our Klein ISD dashboard daily as we receive new data.
