Hello from Balladen CP School,

What an incredibly busy week we have had at Balladen this week! There has been so much learning taking place and so many smiles. We are all very proud of being here!

On Monday we had quite a rainy day and unfortunately the girls first football match was cancelled. The girls, and Mr. Stanton, were obviously disappointed but they still managed to find the space and time to train at school. We had a great assembly led by Reverend David from one of our local churches.

On Tuesday many of our children had nasal flu sprays. Hopefully we will all keep coming to school throughout the winter months. Some of our children went visit Mrs Cockings and get to know some of the children at Simonstone School. They had a really fun time and enjoyed making new friends and learning new things.

On Wednesday we held a parents meeting for the children who are going to the Young Voices event next year. Thank you so much to Mrs Pickup and Miss Sutcliffe for all of their hard work and thought surrounding this event and a big thank you to all of the children who keep coming to choir each week. There seems to be more children week by week! After school our football team played at Fearns in a very tough group and were unlucky to not go through to the final on goal difference.

The boys made up for it on Thursday though when they beat Haslingden 15-3! We also had many children running in Race for Life at Marl Pits to raise money for charity.

Our Celebration Assembly on Friday was wonderful and we are so proud that many of our children are nor becoming much more courageous when speaking aloud in fromt of the whole school. Well done everyone!

Please do take the opportunity to have a look at our twitter feed which can be accessed here.

Have a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing all of those smiling faces on Monday morning.

With respect,

Mr. Neil Ringrose

Thank you and well done!
