Middle/High School and Parent Movie Screening
MSA is happy to announce that we will be screening the film Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety to our middle and high school students on Tuesday, 22 May 2018.
The National Institute of Mental Health estimates that one in three teens has an anxiety disorder. Angst was created to begin a healthy community conversation about anxiety and mental health. It features candid interviews with real teens about anxiety, as well as tools that help and promote hope. A local psychologist will be at the screening to answer student questions.
A parent screening is also scheduled for Wednesday, 23 May at 5.30 pm in the MSA auditorium. A local psychologist will be in attendance to answer parent questions following the film which lasts 56 minutes.
Both screenings will be moderated by Guidance Counsellor Bonnie Exell.
