Heidi Heitkamp
North Dakota Senator
Growing up
On October 30, 1955, Heidi was born in to a family of six brothers and sisters in her family. She grew up in a small town and worked a variety of jobs to make extra money for her family and herself. When she began getting into politics she brought many of her small town lessons and values with her. She is an advocate for the people, fighting drug dealers on the streets only armed with her fists of fury (but really, she's attorney general), protects the elderly from scams and helped fund anti-smoking programs helping to reduce teen smoking.
Heidi is now the second female senator of North Dakota and a proud mother of two children (now adults).
She is a part of the North Dakota Democratic- Nonpartisan League Party and was elected in to office in 2012.
