Went to Private school growing up and attended Harvard University

Adams grew up in a house along the sand dunes of the Golden Gate which got him interested in photography

The family business collapsed in the financial panic of 1907, and Adams’s father spent the rest of his life attempting to recoup

He's one of the premier pictorial photographers of all time. His work is "pure" photography recognized as an art form in and of itself
