VIRTUAL ONLINE LEARNING PARENT SURVEY SUMMARY OF RESPONSES

Parents/Guardians of CCA students participated in a survey to provide feedback for any virtual online learning their child(ren) have used for instruction. The results of this survey can be found on the district website. https://www.ccaschools.org/Page/5517

ONSITE AND VIRTUAL INTENTIONS DUE FOR 2ND SEMESTER

Parents/Guardians were sent and email today with information for 2nd semester learning instruction options. Please read the email and fill out the intention forms by noon on November 9th for EACH one of your children.

BUS EVACUATION DRILLS

The Transportation Department will be conducting mandated school bus evacuation drills the week of October 19-23 which is National School Bus Safety week. Due to COVID guideline modifications the IDOE is allowing these drills to take place while unloading at the buildings and use of the regular service door rather than the rear emergency door.

"CCA RADIO SHOW" - HIGH SCHOOL FALL PLAY NOVEMBER 12-14

The CCA High School brings a 1940s style radio program presentation with 2 main mysteries, commercial messages and a reading of "Who's on First?" and a 90 second rendition of A Christmas Carol. All 11 student actors play a variety of characters as well as 2 people providing live sound effects. The whole show runs 2 hours with intermission. The CCA Radio Show is directed by Tom Milligan & Deb Kennedy.


The High School will manage the ticket sale and will announce the guidelines after the CCA School board reviews and approves spectator guidelines for all CCA School winter activities at tonight's board meeting.


The High School will also livestream the event for all CCA Community to have the opportunity to watch our student talent. The livestream link will be posted on district and high school websites and social media prior to the event.

SPRINGMIER COMMUNITY LIBRARY UPDATE

Tiffin Public Library News Update: The Springmier Public Library located inside the Clear Creek Amana Middle School building is still closed due to the Covid Pandemic. They are still offering the following services: curbside pickup, downloadable books, limited delivery to elderly and homebound.

Need to return a book. They have a book drop box located outside the building for your returns. Need a library card or any other service. Please contact the library at 545-2960.

NATIONWIDE FREE SCHOOL MEAL PROGRAMS EXTENDED

On October 9, the USDA Food and Nutrition Services extended twelve COVID-19 Nationwide Waivers through June 30, 2021. These waiver extensions are expected to facilitate streamlined access to nutritious meals and snacks, while minimizing potential exposure to COVID-19, for the duration of the school year.

The waiver extension for the Summer Food Service Program will allow CCA to continue with FREE meals through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
