The Leadership Lunch and Learn Series begins today at 12:30pm with Tayyib Smith... Attend today's STARS event at 4pm and earn points towards your SLC certificate while helping your student organization reach new levels. Finally, seminar registration is available for the Emerging Leaders Seminar and the StrengthsQuest Seminar. Links are included below.

Leadership Lunch and Learn
During the Fall and Spring semester, we host a FREE catered lunch where students can share a meal with a Philadelphia community leader. The program is simple - enjoy lunch and have great conversations on a chosen topic with an inspiring leader within our community. Earn 5 Leadership Diamond Points per event.
Temple alum and Apps' N Maps Advisory Board member Tayyib Smith will join us for lunch.

How do you avoid misunderstandings over electronic media? Learn tips and strategies in this session that can help you communicate clearly with others. Facilitated by Conflict Education Resource Team (CERT). This workshop is worth five points.

STARS: Leadership Lessons from Dr. Powell
About Dr. Powell
A highly respected career professional in higher education administration, Dr. Theresa A. Powell currently serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Temple University. She is the past-president of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), where she has been honored as a Pillar of the Profession. In addition, she served as a Team Chair, Consultant Evaluator, and as a member of the Accreditation Review Council for The Higher Learning Commission (Commission of the North Central Association for Colleges and Schools) for the past eleven years.

Emerging Leaders Seminar
Do you stand out as a leader? Join us for the Emerging Leaders Seminar on your journey to become a distinguished leader.
We will provide training in the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership:
Section One: Tuesdays, September 30, October 7 & 13, 12p-2p in Student Center Room 223
Section Two: Wednesdays, October 1, 8, and 15, 12p-2p in Student Center Room 223
This seminar is worth 25 Diamond Points. You must attend all three dates for your chosen section to receive credit for your attendance.

StrengthsQuest Seminar
StrengthsQuest is a program designed to identify and develop each individual's strengths. Through a 20-minute assessement, students will receive a customized report and have the opportunity to analyze and apply it to their academic and professional careers. The seminar meets three consecutive weeks for two hours. The first session focuses on understanding your strengths. The second session explores using your strengths to navigate groups and organizations. The third and final session centers on using strengths in your career. Various departments on campus use this in the student employment hiring process including University Housing and Residential Life (resident assistants) and the Student Center Operations team (student staff). Registration is required. All materials are provided for participating students.
Section 1: Mondays from 2:30pm-4pm (Oct. 13th, Oct. 20th and Oct. 27th) in Student Center Room 220
Section 2: Tuesdays from 2:30pm-4pm (Oct. 14th, Oct. 21st and Oct. 28th) in Student Center Room 220
