Have your own device? You don't have to walk, bicycle or drive to the library to have plenty of books to read over the summer. FCHS has several eBook options and JCPL has both digital audio and eBooks too. Go to the FCHS eBook page to access hundreds of great titles.

Free audiobook YA and Classic paired novels

SYNC is a program that gives away two complete audiobook downloads–a current Young Adult title paired thematically with a Classic or Required Summer Reading title–each week to listeners ages 13+ while SYNC is in session each summer.

JCPL Summer Reading

Lounging in the cool, comfortable local public library when the temperatures rise is not a bad idea. Computers, movies, audio books, fun programs and of course, the amazing summer reading program are all waiting for you at your local branch. Go to the JCPL Programs and Events Page to learn all about the reading program, access ebooks, and browse their catalog for other materials.

Design your own learning field trips

Monitor your local newspaper, online community calendars, and favorite radio stations for a gazillion other activities to keep you learning all summer long.
