A Note from Mrs. Nichols
Dear Champion Families,
Gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. That is a perfect reflection of what I have experienced this year at CES. Every day, I am moved and inspired by what I see. Every day, I marvel at the incredible devotion of our staff and their unique ability to teach and inspire our children. Every day, I celebrate the amazing support of our parents and community.
I believe that the success of our school is built on a foundation of mutual respect and inclusiveness. Every day, dedicated teachers and staff nurture a culture of fairness, love and caring, all focused on the goal of providing a safe learning environment for our students and families. CES is committed to continuing this focus and supporting our families during the school day and beyond.
I am thankful that CES continues to strive for excellence in each and every classroom, in person or virtually, to grow stronger by our diversity, and to cultivate an open and positive school climate.
During this time of Thanksgiving, I want to share my gratitude and thank you for being such an important part of our children’s lives. This is a wonderful time of the year to get together with friends and family to celebrate and be thankful for all the wonderful people in our lives. On behalf of the Chickasaw Elementary staff, I would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving season!
This Month's BIG Idea
- Start a gratitude list at home or school.
- Ask your family what they are thankful for during dinner.
- Let someone in your family know the reasons you are grateful for them.
Join us in collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the area food pantry. We will collect items from November 9-20. Some of the most needed items are: peanut butter, canned soup, spaghetti, tuna, beans, and rice. Thank you to our spotlight students for organizing this event.
We will honor veterans on Wednesday, November 11. All students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue on this day. We will have several activities this day, also.
November 18 is National Career Day. What do you want to be when you grow up? Dress as you would for that job on this day.
