A Message from Dr. Mitzner

Last week, we had several art students enter into the Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show Art contest. Harini Srinivasan (7th grade) won the Junior High Division Champ Award. You can see her and the art work pictured below.

All our fine arts programs are preparing for big spring events! I look forward to seeing our students continue to show their greatness in these extra curricular items as well as in the classrooms and hallways.

I am so proud of not only the students at Tays Junior High but the teachers and staff who make a difference in the lives of students daily. I am just returning froma conference in Austin and the Texas Capitol advocating for public education. I am honored to serve Tays Junior High in Katy ISD. I have included the link to the 2023 Katy ISD Board adopted Legislative priorities for this legislative session. Click here to see them. The quality of your local public school is because of your support and because we have amazing teachers serving our students at Tays. Thank you for your role in making your child's education great.

Looking forward to seeing you at one of the many events in the coming weeks!

Regards,

Dr. Kris Mitzner

Can you spare a minute to vote for Emilie’s piece titled “Memories of the Past” by clicking on the click below?

Also, it would be kind ‘a of cool, to have the students participate. I have included a QR code you can share with your students to have them vote during HB if you are interested. (Attachment).
