PSSA Writing Field Test
As part of changes in the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment, a writing ‘field test’ will be administered to third, fourth, and fifth grade students across Pennsylvania in February. The Department of Education is using this Writing Field Test to select items that best match new state standards and will be used in future assessments. Students will be encouraged to do their best as they complete this assessment, but no test scores or other data will be received by schools or parents.
The test is scheduled to take place on February 5th and will take most students 90 minutes to complete. To minimize the time needed by schools to complete this assessment, no make-up sessions will need to be completed for students absent on the day of testing.

Olivia Gilroy
Girl Scout Junior Olivia Gilroy has been chosen to participate in the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania's Take the Lead event on March 5 at the Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia.
Take The Lead is the Girl Scout council's largest corporate fundraising event, where they celebrate the incredible women leaders of our community, while inspiring girls to become leaders of tomorrow. Olivia will be one of the hosts for the evening, so she will be welcoming the attendees. She will also be sharing her Girl Scout experiences as she networks with th business leaders who come to the event. As part of her preparation for her role, Olivia will also attend a training on networking and public speaking in January. Olivia was one of only 20 girls chosen from the Eastern PA Girl Scout counsel. We are so proud of her and wish her the best of luck!
