MORE TO COME
Join us at the STEAM Innovation Awards this Friday!
FSA’s growth depends on its ability to raise capital. We are proud of the fact that we have built and maintained such a stellar educational institutional while keeping tuition lower than almost every other high performing private school in our area. In order to continue to thrive, keep tuition costs down, and provide educational excellence to our students, we have to be able to raise funds from sources outside of our parent base.
But we need your help to do so.
Like any other organization, investors, businesses, and even banks are more likely to invest in those who are willing to invest in themselves. You can show your commitment to invest in the school by attending the STEAM Innovation Awards. Those attending the event are not only organizations that have already made financial commitments to our school, but also those who we hope will make financial contributions in the future. By having a strong showing of parents at the event, you are assuring our partners that they are making an investment in an organization that believes in itself.
What are the STEAM Innovation Awards?
The Fulton Science Academy STEAM Innovation Awards is our school’s inaugural community partnership fund-raising event to be held on Friday, October 25 at the Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta.
Why should I attend this event?
We would like our families to help us celebrate the enriching partnerships we are fostering within the community.
We are proud of the fact that our students' education, while fostered by our wonderful teachers and staff, is also enriched by the unique learning experiences offered by some of the most respected members of the business community. We would love for you to join us in appreciating them for shaping our students to become the next great future leaders in STEAM.
How does my attendance at this event help our school?
All proceeds from this event will go toward FSA’s expansion.
Due to our stellar academic achievements and remarkable reputation in the community, Fulton Science Academy has grown six-fold over the past six years. An expansion of the FSA campus is necessary in order to maintain our growth and the caliber of quality education FSA has become known for. We would love for you to support FSA in maintaining the highest quality educational experience that we offer our precious students.
What is going to happen during the event?
The evening will begin with an hors d’oeuvre and cocktail hour while guests enjoy a silent auction featuring a variety of exciting items such as autographed sports memorabilia, gorgeous jewelry, and multiple international trips including a South African Safari. Guests will then move to the main dining room and enjoy a three course meal during student presentations and the community partners awards ceremony. We will wrap up the evening with desserts and a coffee bar while you mingle and collect your auction winnings.
What is the dress code?
Business attire is preferred.
We do hope you will join us for what we would like to see become an annual FSA event.

A way to network with a group of your peers with a common goal.
So what’s the goal?
To get information out about what’s taking place in and around campus. Sounds easy so far, and you might be thinking, there’s no real challenge or excitement with that group. Not to burst your bubble too much, but it actually takes quite a bit of work to pull off a production daily. It also requires a variation of skill sets to come together to get a show “on air”.
Being a MNT member, will allow you to discover and practice your communication with not just your peers, but also those who may be outside your comfort zone. It allows you to recognise, represent through audio and video the different relationships that surrounds you.
But most of all, it helps you practice telling a story. It’s not all about reading words off a screen.
Here are some of the skills you can cultivate by being a part of MNT
- Develop the ability to problem solve for personnel, and project related situations
- Project management and planning ahead for an outcome.
- Practice communicating with individuals and groups in different a reason various topics
- Improve your verbal, written and visual presentation skills
- Building self image and contributing to Brand (FSA) engagement
- Practice the immersion and mastering of a role for success
- Expose yourself to some new equipment and technical skills
- Coach and mentor fellow team members
- Experience the hiring process
- But perhaps increasing your self confidence and marketability on your resume are the most immediate results you will see.
FSA is a member and MNT of the NSPA ( National Student Press Association )
The UNICEF Fundraising Committee is Back!
The UNICEF Fundraising Committee is back! We are looking for new members who are passionate about children's rights and community service. If you would like to be a member please email fsapsufc@gmail.com with your name and grade.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is a United Nations organization that was established after the devastation of World War II in order to provide humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers across the globe. For decades, it has been putting children first, protecting their rights and providing the assistance and services they need to survive and thrive.
Our UNICEF Fundraising Committee will empower our students to become global citizens. Through fundraising, awareness, and community service, we will be able to help the millions of children who need our help. We will serve as a space to discuss global issues and current events. This club will cover a wide range of UNICEF’s Program Areas such as child protection, education, water, sanitation and hygiene allowing for a more insightful, understanding life outside of the classroom. Additionally, students will gain leadership qualities and marketing skills.
Help us work toward the day when no children die from preventable causes, and every child has a safe and healthy childhood.

Home Visits; A Great Activity for Your Student, No Matter Their Grade Level!
Here is some feedback from our parents:
- “Early in the school year, a group of teachers took the time to come to our home to meet us and discuss the school program with us. That event brought us back to the time in which schooling was a true partnership between parent and teacher and reaffirmed in our minds that FSA truly cares about the development of our children”
- “We even had two teachers visit us at our home. They were a pleasure to meet and we could clearly see how much they enjoy teaching students.”
- “Thank you very much for your visit and the chocolates yesterday. We enjoyed having you over very much. I also want to thank you for turning math from the most complicated and somewhat scary subject into one of our most favorites.”
- “We all enjoyed your visit last night to our home. It was such a pleasure to informally get to know both of you. My son thought it was really cool that two teachers came to his house. He talked about it the whole way to school this morning in carpool. Personally, I admire the dedication you both have for your jobs. It makes a big difference in a student’s attitude toward school. Your visit left no doubt in my mind that FSA was the right decision for my son.”
- “I just wanted to write on behalf of my husband and I and thank you for visiting our child. He loved having you both come and visit. We appreciate the level of caring and attention that you have consistently shown our family. It is rare to see such a dedication from teachers for their jobs. We can tell that you love teaching and you care for our children. Thank you for visiting our child when he was not feeling well.”
How can I schedule a home visit?
Very simple.
To schedule a middle or high school school home visit: Simply email sduman@fultonscienceacademy.org with some suggested dates/times, as well as your students' name(s) and homeroom assignments. Mr. Duman will be in touch to confirm final details.
Depending on our teacher’s availability, at least two teachers will be together to visit our students and parents at their homes. The best times to schedule a home visit are weekdays after 5:00 pm, and anytime during the weekends, except Sunday mornings. For any questions you have about this program, send an e-mail to homevisit@fultonscienceacademy.org
