Encourage your child to:

  • Eat a good breakfast
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Get to school on time at 7:55

Get Involved!

Parents, it is important to be involved and active in what your children are doing. Some helpful tips for involvement are:

- Know where your children are and what they are doing.

- Learn about their friends and their friend’s parents.

- Find ways to be active in their homework, study skills, and extracurricular activities.

One of the four pillars of the NEHS is Service-

We want to help those in our community-

Our first community outreach is bringing awareness to children with heart defects.

Here are some facts.

  • Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defects- nearly 1 in every 100 babies are born with them

  • About ½ the babies who are born with Down Syndrome are also born with a heart defect

There is good news- Babies with heart defects can have open heart surgery to repair their hearts.

Next Tuesday , February 27-- one of our own families at Life School, their baby sister will have this surgery.

We -- as a campus will show our support, by wearing RED- NEXT Tuesday please wear your RED Life School polo, or any solid red t-shirt to show your support. (You must wear regular uniform bottoms)

We would love to have 100% participation as we bring awareness to children born with heart defects!
