One of the four pillars of the NEHS is Service-
We want to help those in our community-
Our first community outreach is bringing awareness to children with heart defects.
Here are some facts.
Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defects- nearly 1 in every 100 babies are born with them
About ½ the babies who are born with Down Syndrome are also born with a heart defect
There is good news- Babies with heart defects can have open heart surgery to repair their hearts.
Next Tuesday , February 27-- one of our own families at Life School, their baby sister will have this surgery.
We -- as a campus will show our support, by wearing RED- NEXT Tuesday please wear your RED Life School polo, or any solid red t-shirt to show your support. (You must wear regular uniform bottoms)
We would love to have 100% participation as we bring awareness to children born with heart defects!
