Student Progress Reporting
At Randall STEM, we have settled on and continue to use a digital portfolio for students. As last year was a little abnormal for many reasons, some of you may not have used or checked the SDW Continuum as much as you would have liked. We will continue to use the SDW Continuum to report progress throughout the school year. As the SDW Continuum is our primary way of communicating progress with students and parents on their learning, student work will be updated regularly. Within the first trimester, there will be student work uploaded in reading, math, writing, and science, along with feedback on student evidence. Staff will be marking/scoring continuums for reading, math, and writing, which will show student progress towards these learning targets/standards. There will be student work in Reading, Math, Writing, & Science along with their progress on that particular piece of evidence. You will be receiving reminders in your teacher’s classroom newsletter to check out the portfolio and see work happening in the classroom. I would also recommend asking your student to show you their portfolio to see their learning and celebrate their achievements. Just give our Kinders and 1st graders a little time to get acquainted with the new system before asking. :)
Please see BB9 and your classroom/grade level newsletters (or the handbook) for additional parent login and other information.
Thank you for being our partner in education!
