Waggoner Road Junior High Legends
Quarantine Edition 1
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get!!!!!
So much information to share! As we round out the remainder of our year, I will be sending out a weekly newsletter with updates and information.
Please note that we desperately miss all the children and hope that they are safe and healthy!
ACADEMIC INFORMATION
The grading system has been sent out by the district. Please note that this is a district policy and WRJH will adhere to that policy.
As we sum up the year, all assignments online should be completed no later than Tuesday May 19th. You will find information below on the drop off of packets and other information.
PowerSchool parent and student portals have been turned off so as not to create further confusion over grades. This will give the platform time to adjust to the new scale and teachers the team to adjust how those grades appear.
Please continue to communicate with teachers regarding missed assignments etc. to ensure a passing grade.
Scheduling for next school year is upon us. We are working diligently to get that completed soon so that 7th graders will know their schedules for 8th grade.
Packet Drop Off/Chrome Book Drop Off/Locker Clean Out
We are scheduling the drop off for all packets and chrome books for Tuesday May 19th. We will send details on how that drop-off will occur as we get closer to the date.
This will also be a time where library books, classroom books, etc. can be returned. When you return these books, and items please have a piece of paper attached by sticky or tape indicated the name of the student returning the item.
We are creating a process for students to retrieve their items from their lockers as well. The details of this process will be coming to you soon as well.
Washington DC Trip/Model UN Trip
As you are hopefully aware, the 8th grade May trip to D.C. has been cancelled due to Covid-19; however, is being rescheduled for October. Thank you for your patience as we navigate through the changes to the trip and issuing the refunds to families.
Refunds are being processed through the Reynoldsburg District office and the money will be returned to the person that made the payment(s). Checks should be mailed home this week.
Information about the Fall trip will be sent home soon. The trip is pending School Board approval, but is tentatively scheduled for October 6-10, 2020 and will be a one-time only 9X trip. If you are interested in having your child attend, please hold on to your refund as the first payment of $300 will be due in May. Any student that was unable to attend the May trip due to disciplinary reasons, will still be ineligible for the 9X trip.
Please contact Mrs. Case at acase@reyn.org with any questions or concerns.
Model UN has also been cancelled but was NOT rescheduled. Those refunds are in process at this time.

Students will learn about: Internet, Digital Information, Programming, Big Data, Building Apps, and Performance Tasks.
