All people in Austin pretty much live a modern life-style. Austin has modern styled houses with many kid friendly neighborhoods and many great universities! In Austin there are ranches and country-styled homes as well and most homes in Austin have many trees. Sadly we do have some poverty in Austin, of course, like most cities and states. In Austin, Texas there is a HUGE music industry and many job opportunities! There are many jobs at the universities in Austin, multiple banks, and many technology companies such as Dell. The scenery of Austin, Texas is beautiful with all of the nature, beautiful trees, and the sunny weather for the summer! Barton Springs is a great example because in Austin there are extremely hot summers so now the people of Austin have an all natural spring to enjoy! This city has many stunning parks that have trees and other plant life to add to the stunning scenery of Austin. This picture is of Barton Springs to show how the Earth has had a positive effect on humans.

Even though the people of Austin try to keep as many trees and nature life as possible, the people of Austin do cut down many trees for buildings. For example, there was a new hospital built in Austin where a huge forest of trees and animal life were. Even though it's great to have such a wonderful new medical care center, Austin has destroyed the beautiful habitats of many animal species. This is a picture of the new hospital in Austin where a forest of trees once was.
Movement: What Draws People To Austin
Austin's population grew to over 1.8 million in 2012! The music industry and many talent opportunities seem to bring many people to Austin, Texas. The many universities, such as The University of Texas, has drawn young people from many different places to this city. Hundreds of people have moved to Austin for new jobs or job opportunities. For example, the many technology companies in Austin like Dell, AMD, and Apple. The beautiful scenery and seemingly clean city has brought thousands of people to Austin, Texas of all different races and ages. This picture is of a large group of people with suitcases to represent the thousands of people that have been moving to Austin.
Austin is really a multicultural city, everywhere you go you will see different ethnicities and many different churches for different religions. South Austin does seem to have a bit more Hispanic people though and East Austin seems to have a higher population of African Americans. Even though there might be a little bit more of a race in a certain region of Austin, the city is mostly mixed pretty equally of all races. This picture represents the multicultural city of Austin, Texas.
The region of "Downtown Austin" has more businesses and buildings, therefore having more money, people, and job opportunities. The east region of Austin sadly has a large amount of poverty. In East Austin there are many homeless and/or poor people struggling to be successful. This picture, "OPPORTUNITY" represents how some are fortunate enough to have the large amount of opportunities around them and some are not so fortunate.
The capital of Texas is in Austin, Texas and is where the state government meets and do all of their business. The city of Austin is mixed of many Republicans and Democrats but it does seems like the universities have a higher population of Democrats. This picture is of the capital to represent the political region of Austin since the capital is located in Austin, Texas.
