Language Arts/Social Studies Block 1 & 2: Studying immigration by completing the Scholastic Immigration Webquest. Also reviewing for the EOG.
Science: Continuing our study of ecosystems. Focusing on interactions in ecosystems.
Ms. Price
Block 1 and 2 Math: Unit 9: Adding, Subtracting, Comparing and Multiplying Fractions. Recognizing the inverse relationship between multiplication and division and apply it to fractional amounts. Divide a fraction or mixed number by another fraction with the visual support of number lines.
**Math Note: Accelerated Math is part of their homework every night. Therefore, something should be scanned every day.
Science: Explore how air masses produce different kinds of weather along fronts. Describe and diagram how cold fronts and warm fronts affect the weather.

Language Arts/Social Studies- We are continuing to learn about the Civil War and preparing for the EOGs.
Science-We are finishing up with land ecosystems and moving to aquatic ecosystems. We are also reviewing for the EOGs.
Mrs. Rotenberry
Math: Block 1 and 2 classes have begun Unit 9: Multiplication and Division of Fractions. Our skill focus this week is: multiplying whole number with unit fractions, whole numbers by non unit fractions, multiplying a fraction by a fraction, and multiplication strategies. The next deadline for Accelerated Math is 5/19-5/23.
Science: My block 2 class is currently studying weather. Our skill focus for the week is water vapor and humidity, and clouds and precipitation.
Field day is June 9th. We need parent volunteers to chaperone groups. Please let me know if you are interested.We also need items for our last auction. We have not had many items donated in the past. I would like this one to be better since it is the last one. Please send in what you can before the last week of school.

*Be sure to check your childs planner today and every Friday for a conduct grade for the week. Please sign and address any concerns with your child. Teachers will be checking for a parent signature on Monday.
**Please note: This "S", "N", or "U" weekly conduct grade not only reflects BEHAVIOR, but WORK ETHIC as well.
*Tardies and Early Dismissals can affect Success Celebrations* Success Celebration Criteria: -Students cannot have an N or U in conduct in any class. -Students cannot have any office or bus referrals. -Students cannot have any unexcused absences. -Students cannot have more than 3 tardies to school. -Students cannot have more than 3 early dismissals from school.
