October 2019

Director's Note

Confession time - I hate the taste of pumpkins. I think they're cute so I don’t mind pumpkins for fall decorations but I am not ordering a pumpkin latte anytime soon! But I do love Carlisle’s Pumpkinfest! We will be holding a Spooky Room for little ones again this year so come visit us 1-3pm on October 26th.

We're starting a new program for 3rd-5th graders called STEM SQUAD. It's an 8 week program for kids who want to learn and explore various areas of science. Dee will be leading this amazing program through a grant that she worked really hard to win! The first session will run October 7th - November 25th on Mondays from 3:45pm to 4:45 pm. There will be more sessions available in the future. Registration is required for this program so please stop in or call us!

Our new middle school book club will take place in Mrs. Sinclair's room at CMS on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:30pm. The first book we're reading is The Parker Inheritance, and copies will be available for check out during the meeting. Our 4th and 5th grade book club is starting as well and will take place on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Carlisle Public Library; students can join us at either the 3:45 OR 6:30pm session. The first book is Amina's Voice, with copies available for checkout during the meeting.

We are a busy place as always! We love seeing all your faces in the fall, whether you are stopping in for a program or picking up a book! Happy Fall!
