5th Grade News!

March 21 - 24

NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 25!!!!!

Since we didn't use any Snow Days, we get a planned day off! Enjoy!

Miscellaneous Info

  • Please reinforce at home the importance of having all of necessary supplies ready to go at school. There is a good percentage of students that don't come to school with PENCILS. Our extra supply ran out before winter break, and we have kept "loaners" marked with tape available in the classrooms, and now that supply has also dwindled to stubby pencils without erasers. Thank you for your help with this!
  • Please let your child's teacher know if they will be going home with another student or going home another way (ex. carpool - walker)

Social Studies

Identifying all 50 states and their capitals is an important skill. This is also something that is fun to study at home! When we come back from Spring Break, a pre-quiz will be given on the 50 states and capitals. The pre-test is not for a grade, it will be used to show what we know already. The final states and capitals quiz will be given during the week of April 25th. Below are some fun ways to practice at home! If you find additional websites or apps that your child loves and find helpful in studying, please let me know!
